As an embedded photographer of the "Contrada della Lupa" I organize a Street Photographic Workshop during the week of the “Palio di Provenzano” (historical horses race) held in Siena on July 2 .

We will take you to the discovery of Siena (one of the Tuscany’s pearls), its districts and their inhabitants . You will know their rivalry and friendly colors. You can follow one “Contrada/District” or take focus on just one aspect of the life of their inhabitants . We will ask you to show us your personal “Palio” by your point of view. The opportunities for a good reportage will not miss : colors, faces , action, jockeys , horses , processions and highlights such assignment , blessing , horses testing , (benediction), running and jubilation will be there to be shot in an original way. It’s up to you!

Street photography theory will be explained for taking single top images of the “Street-Palio”.

In classroom we are going to do comparisons , lessons with photo editing and last choices for the definition of the final report of all participants according to the preference and style of each.

A single focus , Palio is not a tourist event or folklore, but it is the essence and spirit of Siena and its “Contradaioli” since 1644. You have to respect them, their passions and feelings.
